April 2012 – December 2012 Building of Custom Log Home In Bozeman, Montana

For the next several months we will be building this custom log home in Bozeman, Montana. We designed this log home for our customers and are also the log home builders. We invite you to trace the progression from floor plans to finished home with us over the next several months. This is not a process that happens quickly. The planning for this log home began in November of 2011. The projected completion date is December of 2012. With winter setting in around us (and some other factors) we decided to wait until early April to break ground.

This log home is 1,760 square feet with an attached 24×26 solid log garage. The home is three bedrooms, two baths, great room, kitchen, dining area, and first floor laundry. There are also two covered porches on the front of the Bear Creek Plan.

We will be featuring each segment of this home for you. It is not very often that you get to see the step by step development of a luxury log home such as this. So be sure to check back often. In the construction process there will be times where the events seem to pass quickly. And conversely there will be periods where smaller amounts are accomplished. We pride ourselves in very high quality finish work, so that will be one of the most time consuming stages of this home.

We will not only be charting the site preparation, but also the handcrafted log shell as it is crafted in the yard. This home will require a total of three semi loads of logs and materials.
