The Oliver is shown here in the traditional Cape Cod style. This lovely log cabin plan offers a first floor Master Bedroom, open Living Room, Dining, and Kitchen area, and an Open Loft. The front doors of this cabin open out onto the covered front porch.
This home is shown in the 8×8 inch D- log. The logs stack with a double tongue and groove and full saddle notch corners. Two interior walls are constructed from square 6×8 logs. This technique increases the structural integrity of any home. Finger joinery is utilized for butt joints. All electric box holes and wire holes are precut and predrilled.
The log home package for this cabin comes fully precut and prenumbered. Construction drawings and a log schedule detailing placement of each log accompanies this package. Also included in this dry in package: exterior doors, windows, porch material, 2×4 and 2×6 framing lumber for gable ends and dormers, all roofing material, shingles or metal roofing (customer’s choice), 1×6 Pine tongue and groove for soffits and ceilings, interior staircase first floor to upper, railing for loft and stairs, 2×4 and 2×6 framing lumber for interior walls, and 2×6 tongue and groove finished flooring for second floor.
Cost for manufactured log home packages from Lake Country Log Homes ranges between $55 and $70 per square foot. A good average turn key price for our milled homes begins at approximately $150 per square foot.
