One feature of our website that many visitors love is all the small log cabin floor plans and pictures. Many websites only offer black and white sketches of their homes or maybe a colored rendering accompanying their floor plans. But we always strive to place as many relevant photos as possible with each.
The elevation of a log cabin means- how it looks on the outside. Whenever a full set of preliminary drawings are competed all four sides of the dwelling are shown separately. The elevations are traditionally marked as front, rear, right side, and left side. On log homes sometimes the rear is marked as the ‘view side’. With log homes there is no plain ‘rear’. Instead the view side usually hosts the large trapezoid windows and prow. The elevations then correlate with the sides of the floor plans.
Another advantage of photos if the ability to see inside the cabin. Most log home sketches only offer a glimpse of the outside. Unfortunately some cabins are so tiny that it is almost impossible to get good interior shots. But we still try to get the very best collection of pictures for each small log cabin as possible.
We have noticed that the more detailed and high quality log home photos we have of a certain plan, the more interest that cabin receives. A good example of this phenomenon is the El Paso Plan. A few years ago we sold this particular home. So until the cabin was built all we had was a few color renderings to publish. Recently this home was completed and we received a group of photos. Since adding them to our website many people have been dazzled by this log home plan.
I believe a mark of quality is seeing a log home company list their small log cabin floor plans and pictures together. Trust me, it takes extra work! But it really benefits you, our customers.
