This is a solid stacked log gable end. This is a common choice, especially when Swedish Cope logs, like these, are used. Logs can be pitch cut to follow the roof pitch and also to fit the trapezoid windows, as shown here. A support post is located between the windows to transfer the ridge weight down to the stacked logs below the windows.
