This photo was taken of the front of the Montana Log Home Plan. Egress windows in the basement were added to let the wide mountain view of the Madison range into the home. This home is constructed of 8×8 Double D logs stacked logs. The log stack is double tongue and groove with full saddle notch corners. The handcrafted log purloins and ridge beams are visible on the front gable dormer and the gable end of the cabin. The roofing is hunter green metal with sky lighting (four skylights total in home). Handcrafted log railing completes the front porch. Though very realistic looking, the river rock stoned chimney is actually finished with cultured stone. Cowboy Log Homes
