Architectural Round Log Shell Detail Sheet

All of our log home pricing begins with a log shell only. The Architectural Series is a Precut Log Package with door and window openings precut, corners prenotched, and pitching etc. This shortens the building time and reduces waste on site. The items included in our Architectural Series Log Package are detailed below (click on image to enlarge). Logs are available in Round Log, D-log, OR Flat/Flat (Appalachian Style).

Round Logs: A round log profile is either a Swedish Cope or a Double Tongue and Groove Stack, depending on owner’s choices. A round log provides rounded surface on the interior and exterior of the home. Round log packages are priced with Round Logs for the members such as: ridge beam, ridge beam support posts, floor joists, support posts, and porch posts and header beams. Log home roof systems include a Log Ridge Beam, Ridge Beam Support Posts, Log or Timber Trusses, Purlins, or Rafters as needed or desired. Any of these Square Timbers can be changed to a square timber profile upon request. D-log Logs: A D-log profile has a tongue and groove stack between the logs. A D-log provides a rounded surface on the exterior of the home and a flat surface on the interior.  D-log packages are priced with Square Timbers for the members such as: ridge beam, ridge beam support posts, floor joists, support posts, and porch posts and header beams. Log home roof systems include a Log Ridge Beam, Ridge Beam Support Posts, Log or Timber Trusses, Purlins, or Rafters as needed or desired. Any of these Square Timbers can be changed to a Round Log Profile upon request. Please call for details on the Flat/Flat Appalachian Style. These packages also come precut and typically with dovetail corners.
