This is a 12″ Swedish Cope log shell stacked up with the window opening cut and keyed. “Keyed” refers to the vertical channel that is cut in the window opening in which a 2×4 spleen is inserted. This keeps any shrinkage of the log from affecting the windows or doors. Also the window opening is recessed flat so that the window can be installed and the trim can be installed without any further cutting. A close look at the logs themselves reveal the draw knife pattern of these hand hewn logs. Cowboy Log Homes
