Second Floor Bedroom In Post and Beam

This photo is of the Newell Plan. Though the main home part of the home is handcrafted stacked logs, the log turret on the end of the dining room and this bedroom are done in post and beam construction. Typically stacked log walls do not go higher than about 10 feet. By using log superstructure and framing in the gables and dormers of the home shrinkage is limited. The heavy beam traversing this photo is supported on the ends with log posts and support the roof system for the dormer and gable end of the home. C0wboy Log Homes
