This photo shows an up close look at the post and beam prowled front of the Sicamous log home. It is not uncommon for post and beam construction and stacked log walls to be combined in the construction of a home. The use of post and beam instead of stacked log walls for areas, such as between large windows on the view side of the home allows for less wood between the windows while still maintaining excellent structural strength. A prowl is lovely on a home, but it is one element of a log home which increases the price. Cowboy Log Homes
