Once again Round Post and Beam construction is being incorporated with stacked log walls. This time our subject is the Sicamous Plan. The openness created by this style is remarkable. The hand peeled beam is built into the milled wall and intersects with three more beams at the top of the supporting post. Mortise and tenon joinery is used for this type of intersection. A close look will also reveal that the logs have the distinctive draw knife surface and the homeowners also left the logs stained very light. This is a nice touch. Cowboy Log Homes
