This log home photo is of our Hunter Plan. This is a handcrafted post and beam home. The superstructure is entire of round hand peeled logs and standard framing material is used between the logs. For these homes mortise and tenon joinery and dovetails are common. Post and beam is used for home and also for home features such as turrets, prowled fronts, and view sides of homes where posts are moreĀ appropriate than stacked logs. Post and beam construction offers wide open spaces and high vaulted ceilings. This home was custom designed for a lake front location in British Columbia Canada. Cowboy Log Homes
