This is a smaller version of our log profile sheet. Clicking on the photo will enlarge it for viewing. The most commonly purchased milled log home is the 8×8 D-log profile. The 6×8 is also popular. The 8×8 D-log style gives the homeowner a round surface on the outside of the home and a flat surface on the inside. The Double D, shown on the first row, is round on both the inside and outside of the home. The 6×8 is popular for homes and also log garages. When a home is quoted, we provide the 6×8 log price with an optional upgrade to the 8×8. Typically this upgrade is a few thousand dollars. One benefit of selecting the larger log is the added thermal mass benefit of two more inches of log.
