This is a second photo of the Sheridan log duplex plan. The high cathedral ceilings are solid log all the way to the top of the gables. An intersecting solid log interior wall is denoted by the row of stacked logs, visible in on the right hand of the photo. With close inspection the two rows of tongues and grooves are visible in the stacked wall. The exterior logs of this home are 8×8 D-logs and the interior log walls are 8×8 square profile logs. Choosing the 8×8 logs gives more thermal mass than does the 6×8 log size. Also the use of interior solid log walls enhances the structural integrity of the already substantially built home. This is a true Canadian log home. Cowboy Log Homes
