Gable Flashing On End Of Log Home

This photo is of the end of the Sicamous plan. The purpose for this close up photo is to show the gable flashing. Our log homes are constructed by stackingsolid log up to the top of the walls. Then the gable end of the cabin is framed and covered with log siding, wood siding, or cedar shakes. Framing the gable end of the cabin limits shrinkage. To prevent moisture from laying on the logs where the solid log ends and the gable framing begins, gable flashing is installed. The gable flashing is the thin line of tan the runs along the logs three rows above the window openings. For less visibility we now offer gable flashing in brown. Cowboy Log Homes
