This is the Melody Ranch Plan. And yes, it is a custom log home that was built for a customer in Holland. For international shipment only Western Red Cedar is used for handcrafted log homes. To pass international import laws and agreements logs must be either high temperature kiln dried or Western Red Cedar. To perform all of the handwork necessary for a handcraft, the logs cannot be kiln dried. Therefore the Western Red Cedar must be used. Red Cedar is only available from North Western part of North America, primarily British Columbia which also makes it sought after around the world. Cowboy Log Homes
