Commercial Log Lodge

This is the Totem Building at Queen Charlotte Lodge in British Columbia, Canada. It is located on the Queen Charlotte Island on the Pacific coast. This commercial log building is constructed of 8×8 milled stacked logs with handcrafted log accents. All of the log work including the log truss, railings, and purloins are made from “turned logs”. Turned logs are wide diameter logs that are placed in a lathe and turned until they are a uniform diameter down the length of the log. Then the log is hand peeled to remove the lathe marks and handcrafted to fit into the log structure. Cowboy Log Homes
