This is a commerical log building which was built for a resort. The stunning angle from which this was shot truely conveys the beauty of this lodge. For those who want more detail beyond the lovely, this is a three story high building. The front middle section is made of solid 6×8 D logs. The corners are full saddle notch. The two wings are actually 2×8 log siding to match the solid log front. A light colored stain softens the impact of the white windows. Most log homes look the best with wood, hunter green, or beige windows, but here the white does not look out of place. With white used elsewhere, such as on the bottom of the deck, for soffit and fascia the building as a whole ties together well. Cowboy Log Homes
