Why Luxury Log Cabins are Almost Always Built of Handcrafted Logs

To those who have walked through a handcrafted log home you can see the difference between a milled log home and handcraft. It is enjoyable for some of our customers to come for a visit and walk through one of the handcrafted log homes, a milled log home, and any log or timber homes we have under construction. The differences in the logs is substantial and usually one style is more appealing to someone than another style. Most of our luxury log cabins are often built from either the handcrafted log home style or the larger diameter milled log style of 10 or 12 inches.

The smallest luxury log cabin is the darling of our small cabins collection, the Bridger log cabin plan. The reason this little gem is so unique is primarily accredited to the logs. A 12 to 15 inch log is big, but with the design it all fit together so well. The corners are staggered. The logs are scribe fit together with the Scandinavian Full Scribe method. A screened in porch, gable dormer, and king truss on the end all round this little home together into an attractive log cabin.

The next luxury log cabin is the Lone Mountain at 1,616 square feet.  It is designed to showcase not only the log home style, but also the king truss and very more livable floor plan. This log cabin kit for sale price can be reduced by about $2,500 if the king truss is removed.  The attached garage is also built from the handcrafted log style.

Moving up in size is no problem. The term cabin fits both small and large log home plans. One of my favorite of all time is the Alpine luxury log home plan with the prow front. With the staggered ends, gable dormer, stone fireplace, stone foundation, and angled porch this design showcases many features of a handcrafted log home. Also great landscaping makes a big difference in a log home.

With a luxury log cabin it is very important to realize that excellent landscaping makes an ordinary log home look nice, a nice log home look great, and an great log home look outstanding. Though costly and time consuming, top notch landscaping can make a huge difference in appraisal value and appeal to a buyer.  So be sure to check out all of our luxury handcrafted log homes.

Cowboy Log Homes

Any projected costs, cost estimates, material costs, and estimated construction/ building costs, are only the opinion of Cowboy Log Homes and are drawn from our experience. Every home is custom tailored to meet our individual client's wants and desires. The construction of a log or timber home is based on two primary costs: material provided by the log home company and construction costs contracted with Cowboy Log Homes as the builder or another builder of the customer's choice. Final costs are obtained and contracted with each respectively. Cowboy Log Homes is simply the "glue" that helps bring these two together to provide a final culmination of a customer's project. * Please note photos and elevations may differ some from accompanying floor plans.
