If you are looking for photos and details about each plan then the Log Home Plans tab is the place to visit.

The short cut menu on the side bar of our site is handy when you want to view one plan after the next within a specific category. We use the categories  of:

When you are browsing through floor plans remember that the standard plans are just a starting place. Any plan can be modified in any way you would like. In fact, nearly everyone customizes something within the design. The only customers we have ever had purchase a stock floor plan with no modifications is our commercial customers.

One feature that you will find in many of our floor plans is interior log walls. Many of our plans include this because it makes them even stronger structurally. You can see an interior log wall by looking for a log tail extending out past an exterior wall.

The Meadowlark log home floor plan is shown above. Circled in red are the log wall and log tail that run through the home. The interior walls are one each side of the great room.  A log archway is included over the hallway. Larger plans like the Yellowstone has a solid log wall running along both sides of the great room.  Another advantage of the interior log walls is as a sound barrier between the master suite and the great room.

Log home plans can range from the very simple to the very complex. Often with log homes people like to keep the home fairly simple and let the logs do the rest. The larger logs, especially, are very attractive. They cause people to sit up and take notice of them.

New floor plans are often added to our website, so be sure to check back. Also our Articles page is a good place to find new information, updates on current projects, and new photos. Of course the Photo Galleries are also rich with old and new log home pictures.

Floor plans are the lines that translate into your new home. If you feel you aren’t good at looking at floor plans, then spend some time with them. Buy yourself a big plan book or take several evenings to browse through the many plans found here on our website Cowboy Log Homes .com. To get the home you want, it is important to be able to look at a plan and understand some, at least, of what you are looking at.

Any projected costs, cost estimates, material costs, and estimated construction/ building costs, are only the opinion of Cowboy Log Homes and are drawn from our experience. Every home is custom tailored to meet our individual client's wants and desires. The construction of a log or timber home is based on two primary costs: material provided by the log home company and construction costs contracted with Cowboy Log Homes as the builder or another builder of the customer's choice. Final costs are obtained and contracted with each respectively. Cowboy Log Homes is simply the "glue" that helps bring these two together to provide a final culmination of a customer's project. * Please note photos and elevations may differ some from accompanying floor plans.
